The Scouts stretched their culinary skills during the troop’s cooking competition in October. The Scouts started the month learning about food handling safety and then set out to create the winning dish. Using the twist from the Food Network show “Chopped”, the Scouts needed to use the secret ingredient which was any variety of Trail’s End popcorn in their dish. The judges scored each dish on taste, presentation, and how creative was the use of the popcorn in the dish.
